Even when the vehicle is normal,
a diagnosis code might be set depending on the service status. Therefore, check the interview information
before the diagnosis.
ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT CONTROL SYSTEM CIRCUIT
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
With the electric motor switch set to the ON position, if the control power supply voltage
is approximately 7.5 V or less, the EMCU will set the diagnosis code No. P0562.
note
If the vehicle is left with the electric motor switch set to ACC or ON or the vehicle
is not used for a long time, the diagnosis code may be set.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of the auxiliary battery
Damaged wiring harness or connector(s)
Malfunction of the DC-DC converter
Malfunction of the EMCU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of
other systems.
Check if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Carry out troubleshooting for the EV-ECU. (Refer to .)
Then go to Step 2.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Measure the voltage at E-06 inverter connector.
(1)Disconnect the E-06 inverter connector, and measure the voltage at the wiring harness
side.
(2)Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Measure the voltage between the E-06 inverter connector No.5 - the body
earth. OK: Battery voltage
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection
Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)
