Inspection Procedure 8: The microphone does not respond to your voice normally.
| caution | Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal. |
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the microphone does not respond to your voice normally, the microphone or multivision display may be defective.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of multivision display
- Malfunction of microphone unit
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check if the error message is displayed on the multivision display.

Go to Step 2.

YES : Refer to error massage (Refer to ), take necessary steps.

Perform "Communications & Connection Check" in the diagnosis mode to check that the communication and wire connection with the "Microphone" are "Connected" (Refer to ).

Using the multivision display diagnosis mode, check if the "Mic" (Refer to ).Go to Step 6.Go to Step 4.
).OK: Confirm that "Mic Level" changes when you speak to the microphone.

Go to Step 6.Go to Step 4.STEP 4. Replace the microphone unit temporarily, and check the trouble symptom.

Replace the microphone unit (Refer to ).Go to Step 5.STEP 5. Check of short to power supply, short to earth and open circuit in SNSE, MIC+ and MIC- line between microphone unit connector and multivision display connector.
