Check that the engine-ECU sets a diagnosis code.

Is the diagnosis code set?

|
Troubleshoot the engine-ECU diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 13B - Diagnosis Code Chart <6B3> or GROUP 13C - Diagnosis Code Chart <4N1>).

|
|
Use the M.U.T.-III to check whether the engine-ECU has stored the correct coding data.
|
|
Q.
Is the diagnosis code other than code No. C1396 set?
|
|
Replace the engine-ECU. (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU <6B3> or GROUP 13C - Engine-ECU <4N1>.) Then go to Step 6.

|
Check the following service data (Refer to ).
|
|
- Item 13: Allow A.S.C. torque request
|
|
Q.
Is the check result normal?
|
|
Replace the engine-ECU. (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU <6B3> or GROUP 13C - Engine-ECU <4N1>.) Then go to Step 6.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
(1)Erase the set diagnosis code.
|

(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF)
