2.Remove the output gear assembly together with the differential assembly.

ADJUSTMENT BEFORE INSTALLATION

SELECTION OF SPACER FOR ADJUSTING INPUT SHAFT BEARING END PLAY

1.Measure the end face where the motor housing bearing is inserted also measure the face dimension "A" where the motor housing spacer is inserted.

2.Measure the end face where the motor housing bearing is inserted also measure the face dimension "B" where the motor housing is installed.
3.Install the input shaft assembly to the transmission case.

4.Measure the dimension "C" of the input shaft assembly bearing end face from the installation face of the transmission case.
5.Use the following expression to calculate the amount of end play.

INPUT AXIS TORQUE MEASUREMENT

The input axis torque is measured before the installation. Use the following procedures to temporarily install the motor housing to the transmission case together with the differential assembly, the output gear assembly and the input shaft assembly.

1.Install the output gear assembly together with the differential assembly.

2.Slightly lift the output gear assembly from the transmission case to install the input shaft assembly.
3.Install the motor housing to the transmission case.
note This is only the temporary installation to measure the input axis torque. It is not necessary to apply the sealant.
4.Tighten the motor housing mounting bolt to the specified torque of 24 ± 3 N·m.
5.By hand, rotate the input shaft assembly approximately 10 times.

6.To measure the input axis torque, install the vinyl tape to the input shaft assembly.

7.Install the socket (27) to measure the input axis torque of the input shaft assembly.
Standard value: 0 - 10 N·m
8.If the input axis torque is different from the standard value, select and measure the spacer again.
