Electric power steering warning lamp has illuminated, but the diagnosis code is not stored.

|
Steering has become heavier, but the electric power steering warning lamp is not illuminated. (Normal operation by EPS assistance limit)
| note |
If the vehicle is driven under heavy load (e.g., consecutively turning the steering to full lock or performing severe cornering), the motor drive circuit will become hot. In this case, the EPS will limit the assist operation by decreasing the motor current to avoid mechanism damage. In such a case, the steering will become heavy, but the electric power steering warning lamp does not illuminate. If the circuit temperature reduces after a while, the assist operation will return to the normal level.

Reproduce the steering operation that the customer performed. Check the M.U.T.-III data list item No. 07 (assist limit current), and confirm that the EPS system limited the assist operation.(Refer to .)
|
The bulb check for electric power steering warning lamp cannot be performed when the electric motor switch is turned on. (Since the turning ON of electric motor switch until the start of electric motor unit, the electric power steering warning lamp does not illuminate.)
