PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: F-04 rear wiper motor connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to step 2.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 2. Check the rear wiper motor.

Q. Is the rear wiper motor normal?

Go to step 3.
Replace the rear wiper motor.

STEP 3. Measure the voltage at F-04 rear wiper motor connector.


(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure the voltage at the wiring harness-side connector.
(2)Measure the voltage between the F-04 rear wiper motor connector terminal No. 4 and the body earth.
OK: Battery voltage

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to step 5.
Go to step 4.

STEP 4. Check the following connector: F-04 rear wiper motor connector, B-304 ETACS-ECU connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to step 5.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between F-04 rear wiper motor connector terminal No. 2, 4 and B-304 ETACS-ECU connector terminal No. 14, 11.


note Before the wiring harness check, check the B-319 junction block connector, the C-07, C-08 intermediate connector, and repair if necessary.

  • Check the input line for open or short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 6. M.U.T.-III data list



  • Check the input signal related to the rear wiper operation.
  • Electric motor switch: ACC or ON
  • When rear wiper is operating
