REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Pre-removal Operation

Electric motor switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Disconnect the negative auxiliary battery terminal.

		Removal steps
	·	Instrument panel centre lower panel assembly (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument panel assembly ).

		Installation steps

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< PRE-INSTALLATION INSPECTION

Check the passenger’s air bag OFF indicator lamp for dents, breakage and bending and measure the resistance between the terminals, even when installing a new passenger’s air bag OFF indicator lamp.

>>B<< POST-INSTALLATION INSPECTION

1.Electric motor switch to the "ON" position.

2.Check that the SRS warning lamp is illuminated for 6 to 8 seconds, and extinguished afterward.
3.If the lamp does not extinguish, perform the troubleshooting.

4.Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
5.Check that the passenger’s air bag OFF indicator lamp is illuminated for 6 to 8 seconds, and extinguished afterward.
6.If the lamp does not extinguish, perform the troubleshooting.
