COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If the energy usage indicator or the energy level gauge does not work, the combination meter, the wiring harness or the connector(s) may be defective.

PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics
Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). On completion, go to Step 3.

STEP 2. Check the M.U.T.-III Diagnosis code for other systems
Check if the diagnosis code is set in either of the EV-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?
Diagnose the EV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54D - Troubleshooting ). On completion, go to Step 3.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Retest the system.
Check that the energy usage indicator and the energy level gauge work normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The procedure is complete.
Replace the combination meter.
