Code No. C2011: Brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 coil system abnormality (VP)
Code No. C2019: Brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 OFF seizure (VP)

BRAKE VACUUM GENERATION SYSTEM CIRCUIT

OPERATION

The EV-ECU controls the brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 and monitors the coil drive circuit of the brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Measure the voltage at A-114X brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 (brake electric vacuum pump relay box) connector.

(1)Remove the brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2, and measure the voltage at the wiring harness side.
(2)Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Measure the voltage between the A-114X brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 (brake electric vacuum pump relay box) connector terminal No. 3, 5 and the body earth.
OK: Battery voltage

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: A-114X brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 (brake electric vacuum pump relay box) connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Correct and replace the brake electric vacuum pump relay box.

STEP 3. Brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2 check

Check the brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2. (Refer to GROUP 35A - On-vehicle Service - Relay Check .)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the brake electric vacuum pump control relay 2.

STEP 4. Connector check: C-106 EV-ECU connector, B-28 intermediate connnector, A-104 brake electric vacuum pump relay box connecter

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the damaged connector. Or, correct and replace the brake electric vacuum pump relay box.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between A-104 brake electric vacuum pump relay box connector terminal No. 5, 6 and C-106 EV-ECU connector terminal No. 20, 21.

Check the signal lines for open circuit and short to earth. Or, check the fuse in the brake electric vacuum pump relay box.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness. Or, correct and replace the brake electric vacuum pump relay box.

STEP 6. Diagnosis code recheck

Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the EV-ECU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 7.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)

STEP 7.

Return to Step 1.
The diagnosis is complete.
