BRAKE VACUUM GENERATION SYSTEM CIRCUIT
OPERATION
The power of the brake electric vacuum pump is supplied from the brake electric vacuum pump
control relay. The EV-ECU monitors the voltage for the brake electric vacuum pump.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
If there is abnormality in the voltage change of the
monitor for brake electric vacuum pump immediately after stopping it, the diagnosis code No.
201A will be set.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of the brake electric vacuum pump
Malfunction of the brake electric vacuum pump relay box
Damaged wiring harness or connector(s)
Malfunction of the EV-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Operation check of brake electric vacuum pump
Check that the brake electric vacuum pump operates by the initial driving that the power
switch is set from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.

Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection
Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)
Check the brake electric vacuum pump. (Refer to GROUP 35A - On-vehicle
Service - Brake Electric Vacuum Pump Check .) Or, replace
the brake electric vacuum pump when the brake electric vacuum pump is -80kPa or higher.
Then go to Step 2.
