PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Diagnosis code recheck

Check again if the diagnosis code is set when the charging cable are connected.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 2. Charging cable check

Check the charging cable. (Refer to .)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Replace the charging cable.

STEP 3. Measure the resistance at C-111 EV-ECU connector.

Check the signal lines for open circuit. Do not connect the charging cable.
(1)C-111 Disconnect the EV-ECU connector, and measure the resistance at the wiring harness side.
(2)Measure the resistance between the C-111 EV-ECU connector terminal No. 103 and the body earth.
OK: 2,430 - 2,970Ω (at 20°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Connector check: G-03 regular charger connection, C-111 EV-ECU connector, G-04 earth connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between C-111 EV-ECU connector terminal No. 103 and G-03 regular charging connection terminal No. 4 and G-04 earth.

Check the signal lines for open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 6. Diagnosis code recheck

Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the EV-ECU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 7.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)

STEP 7.

Return to Step 1.
The diagnosis is complete.
