Code No. U116A:
Local CAN (for quick charger) bus-off Code No. U116B: Quick charger local CAN (for
quick charger) time-out
QUICK CHARGING CONTROL SYSTEM CIRCUIT
OPERATION
The quick charger communicates with EV-ECU via the local
CAN (for the quick charger).
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
If the quick charger bus error is determined, the diagnosis
code No. U116A will be set.
If the signal from the quick charger cannot be received, the diagnosis code No. U116B
will be set.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of wiring harness and connectors (Local CAN
(for quick charger))
Malfunction of quick charger
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Measure the local CAN (for quick charger) terminator
resistor.
(1)C-111 Disconnect the EV-ECU connector, and measure the resistance at the wiring
harness side.
(2)Connect the quick charger.
(3)Measure the resistance between terminal No. 101 and No. 102. OK: 120±20 Ω
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check the local CAN (for quick charger) bus connector. G-10
quick charging connection, C-111 EV-ECU connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the damaged connector.
STEP 3. Check the local CAN (for quick charger) bus line between the
G-10 quick charging connection terminal No. 8, 9 and C-111 EV-ECU connector terminal No. 101,
102.
Check the signal lines for short to earth or open circuit.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Check the quick charger. Then go to Step 4.
Repair the local CAN (for quick charger) bus line.
STEP 4. Diagnosis code recheck
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the EV-ECU. (Refer to .) Then go
to Step 5.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection
Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)
STEP 5. Diagnosis code recheck
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
