caution If the diagnosis code No. P1B2D is set, always diagnose the CAN bus line.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


If the registered chassis number is different from the chassis number transmitted in the EMCU, the EV-ECU sets the diagnosis code No. P1B2D.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA


If the chassis number registered to EV-ECU and the chassis number in EMCU do not match, the EV-ECU determines that a problem has occurred.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Chassis number not written
  • Malfunction of the EV-ECU
  • Malfunction of the EMCU
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics


Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ). On completion, go to Step 3.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code


Check if diagnosis code is set to the EMCU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Troubleshoot the EMCU (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Recheck if the diagnosis code is set .
(1)Write the chassis number to the EV-ECU.
(2)Erase the diagnosis code.
(3)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON", and then to the "START" position temporarily.
(4)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace with the coded EV-ECU (Refer to ).
The diagnosis is complete.
