Even when the vehicle is normal, a diagnosis code might be set depending on the service status. Therefore, check the interview information before the diagnosis.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
With the electric motor switch set to the ON position, if the control power supply voltage increases to approximately 16 V or more, the MCU will set the diagnosis code No. P0563.
PROBABLE CAUSES
24-V battery incorrect connection by user
Malfunction of the DC-DC converter
Malfunction of the MCU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.
Check if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Carry out troubleshooting for the EV-ECU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 2.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. M.U.T.-III actuator test and service data
Perform the actuator test of EV-ECU (refer to ) and check the service data (refer to ) of the EV control relay.
Actuator test
Item No. 2 : 12 V DC DC shutdown
Data list
Item No. 83 : Control power supply voltage
OK: The voltage value varies between 3.7 V and 3.9 V / 3.3 V and 3.5 V depending on activation / deactivation of the DC-DC converter.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Carry out the troubleshooting for the EV-ECU diagnosis code P0A09. (Refer to .)
STEP 3. Diagnosis code recheck
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the MCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the MCU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 4.
The diagnosis is complete.
STEP 4. Diagnosis code recheck
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the MCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
