Code No. P0C11: Motor coil U-phase temperature rise abnormality
Code No. P0C12: Motor coil V-phase temperature rise abnormality
Code No. P0C13: Motor coil W-phase temperature rise abnormality

ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT CONTROL SYSTEM CIRCUIT

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

note
  • The diagnosis code may be set by some driving operations such as high load, low-speed driving, or overuse of cooling.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.

Check if the diagnosis code is set to the EV-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Carry out troubleshooting for the EV-ECU. (Refer to .)
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: E-07 MCU, motor (electric motor unit) connector check

Q. Is the check result normal?

YES : Go to Step 3.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 3. Check the resistance of the coil temperature sensor.

(1)Disconnect the E-07 MCU, motor (electric motor unit) connector.
(2)Measure the resistance value of the coil temperature sensor (U-phase and W-phase) between the E-07 motor (electric motor unit) connector terminals.
Terminal No.
Normal value
3 - 9 (W-phase)
12.3 to 12.8 kΩ: 20°C
5.6 to 6.1 kΩ: 40°C
2.8 to 3.2 kΩ: 60°C
1.5 to 1.8 kΩ: 80°C
2 - 8 (U-phase)

Q. Are all the check results normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the motor (electric motor unit).() Then go to Step 5.

STEP 4. Diagnosis code recheck

Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the MCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Set the electric motor switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3)Set the electric motor switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position, and start the electric motor unit.
(4)Run the vehicle.
(5)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the MCU. (Refer to .) Then go to Step 5.
The diagnosis is complete.

STEP 5.

Go to Step 1.
The diagnosis is complete.
