Code No. U1922: K-LINE Receiving Signal Error

TROUBLE JUDGMENT

Check Conditions

3 seconds elapse after the electric motor switch is turned ON, or 3 seconds elapse after the main battery starts to be charged.
During the CAN communication.

Judgement Criterion

The data sent by the EV-ECU cannot be received.

FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION

Not available

PROBABLE CAUSES

Open circuits of K-LINE circuit, short circuits to earth, short circuits to power supply system or damage; poor contact of connector.
The EV-ECU is failed.
The BMU is failed.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: C-107 BMU connector, C-106 EV-ECU connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 2 .

	Repair it. Then go to Step 5 .

STEP 2. Check harness between C-107 (terminal No. 8) BMU connector and C-106 (terminal No. 16) EV-ECU connector

Check signal line for open circuit, short circuit to earth, short circuit to power supply system and damage.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 3 .

	Repair it. Then go to Step 5 .

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code.

Confirm whether the diagnosis codes are set from EV-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Perform the troubleshooting of the electric motor unit (Refer to ).

	Go to Step 4 .

STEP 4. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Reconfirm whether the diagnosis codes are set from BMU.

Erase the diagnosis codes being set.
Electric motor switch: "LOCK" (OFF) → ON
Confirm whether the diagnosis codes are set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Replace the BMU. Then go to Step 5 .

	Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).

STEP 5. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Reconfirm whether the diagnosis codes are set from BMU.

Erase the diagnosis codes being set.
Electric motor switch: "LOCK" (OFF) → ON
Confirm whether the diagnosis codes are set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Go to Step 1 .

	Check end.
