1.After more than 30 seconds elapse since disconnecting the battery cable from the auxiliary
battery (-) terminal with electric motor switch in the "LOCK" (OFF) position, connect the
battery cable with the auxiliary battery (-) terminal again (Do not operate the electric
motor switch during the work).

2.Connect the diagnosis connector to the M.U.T.-III.
3.Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position.
4.When more than 10 seconds elapse after the Step 3, select the "BMU" from the System
Select Screen of the M.U.T.-III.
5.Select the "Special Function" from the BMU Screen.
6.Select the "Reset" from the Special Function Screen.
7.Select the "Control information" from the reset Screen to reset the control information
of the BMU. Turn the electric motor switch to the "LOCK"(OFF) position.

8.Turn the electric motor switch "ON" position to check that the energy level gauge displays
5 segments. If the energy level gauge does not display 5 segments, check the BMU data list,
Item No. 2: Charge state (Display). Referring to the simplified chart of charging and discharging
time, charge or discharge until the 40 % is displayed. (This allows the energy level
gauge has 5 segments.)

- Regular charging (AC 200 V)
<Discharging conditions>
- Electric motor switch: READY
- Power window: fully opened
- Air flow: largest
- A/C setting temperature: highest
- MAX switch: ON
9.Check the BMU data list, Item No. 5: Battery cell minimum voltage. Discharge until
the 3.750 - 3.775 V is displayed.

If the voltage is less than 3.750 V, restart from the Step 7.

10.Turn the electric motor switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position to leave it more than
1 hour.

Even if the M.U.T.-III is disconnected during this, the procedures cannot be affected.

11.Turn ON the electric motor switch to select the "BMU" from the System Selection Screen
of the M.U.T.-III.
12.Select the "Special Function" from the BMU Screen.
13.Select the "Battery capacity measure (Ready)" from the Special Function Screen and
do it. If errors occur during the execution, perform the work according to the M.U.T.-III Screen
and do it again.

Do not put the electric motor switch to the "START" position or do not perform the quick
charging during procedure 13 to 19. If do the electric motor switch to the "START" position
or perform the quick charging, restart from the Step 8.

If the error is shown on the M.U.T.-III that the main battery lowest cell voltage is not
within the range of 3.775 - 3.870V, restart from the Step 7.

14.Turn the electric motor switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
15.Apply the regular charging (AC 200 V) to the main battery for the full charge.

16.After the full charge of the main battery, leave it more than 1 hour.

17.Turn the electric motor switch "ON" position to select the "BMU" from the System Selection
Screen of the M.U.T.-III.
18.Select the "Special Function" from the BMU Screen.
19.Select the "Battery capacity measure (Action)" from the Special Function Screen and
do it. If errors occur during the execution, perform the work according to the M.U.T.-III Screen
and do it again.
