Code No. 03: Output Current Abnormal




TROUBLE JUDGMENT


Check Conditions
  • During regular charging
  • The on board charger control power supply voltage is more than 8 V.
Judgement Criterion
  • When the input voltage is AC 100 V, the output current is more than 7.8 A.
or

  • When the input voltage is AC 200 V, the output current is more than 10 A.
or

  • For more than 2 seconds, the difference between the target output current and the actual output current is more than 1 A.

FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION



  • The charge is stopped.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • The EV-ECU is failed.
  • The on board charger is failed.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Q. Is diagnosis code of Code No. 12 set?

Check current command abnormal (Refer to Code No. 12: Current command abnormal ).
Go to Step 2 .

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code.


Q. Is diagnosis code of EV-ECU system set?

Check EV-ECU system (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3 .

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the on board charger/DC-DC converter.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
