DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS


This code is set when the input from the inlet water temperature sensor of the heater is in a range from 4.922 to 5.000 V for 3 seconds.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list


Check that the following service data display contents are normal.

  • Item 10: Electric water heater inlet water temperature sensor

Q. Is the check result normal?

Intermittent malfunction. Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions .)
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: A-110 heater connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 3. Check the heater (inlet water temperature sensor).


Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the heater.

STEP 4. Connector check: C-101 A/C control unit connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between C-101 A/C control unit connector terminal No. 17, 19 and A-110 heater connector terminal No. 7, 6.



  • Check the input line for open circuit.
note Before checking the wiring harness, check the intermediate connector B-110 and repair it if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 6. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the heater.
