Inspection Procedure 5: Air recirculation/fresh air selection is not possible.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Malfunction of compressor & heater controller
Damaged harness wires and connectors
Malfunction of the A/C-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. A/C-ECU M.U.T.-III actuator test

Perform the following actuator tests, and check that the device works normally.

Item 05: Outside/inside air selection switch

Q. Does the air recirculation/fresh air selection damper motor work normally?

	Go to Step 2.

	Replace the A/C-ECU.

STEP 2. A/C-ECU M.U.T.-III service data

Check that the following service data MUT-III display contents are normal.

Item 45: Air recirculation/fresh air selection switch (input)
Item 46: Air recirculation/fresh air selection switch (output)

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 3.

	Replace the A/C-ECU.

STEP 3. After replacing the A/C-ECU, check the compressor & heater controller M.U.T.-III service data.

Check that the following service data MUT-III display contents are normal.

Item 16: Outside/inside air selection damper
Item 19: Outside/inside air selection switch

Q. Is the check result normal?

	This diagnosis is complete.

	Replace the compressor & heater controller.
