DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS


These codes are set when short to earth (code No. B1016) or open circuit (code No. B1017) is detected in the heater water temperature circuit.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: B-18 heater water temperature sensor connector, B-09, B-10 A/C-ECU connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between B-18 heater water temperature sensor connector terminal No. 1, 2 and B-09 A/C-ECU connector terminal No. 38 and B-10 A/C-ECU connector terminal No. 11.



  • Check the input line for open or short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check the heater water temperature sensor.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the heater water temperature sensor.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the A/C-ECU.
