Code No. B1065: Mode selection damper drive system

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

This code is set when the mode selection damper cannot be rotated to the preset opening angle.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Mode selection damper control motor and potentiometer
Damaged harness wires and connectors
Malfunction of the A/C-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III actuator test

Item 08: Mode selection damper

Q. Does the mode selection damper motor work normally?

	Go to Step 5.

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: B-21 mode selection damper motor and potentiometer connector and B-116 A/C-ECU connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 3.

	Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between B-21 mode selection motor and potentiometer connector terminal No. 1, 2 and B-16 A/C-ECU connector terminal No. 13, 2.

Check the output lines for open or short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 4.

	Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check the mode selection damper motor and potentiometer.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 5.

	Replace the mode selection damper motor and potentiometer.

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Replace the A/C-ECU.
